MP Mohamed al-Baldawi, representing al-Binna'a Alliance, has said that a draft law to expel US forces from Iraq will top priorities of the parliament, referring to a consensus between political blocs to pass it.

In press remarks, Baldawi said “the law to expel the US forces has been submitted to the parliament’s defense and security committee, which submitted questions to the government on the US military presence.”

The committee, according to Baldawi, still awaits the cabinet's response.

Most of the parliamentary blocs agreed on the bill, he said indicating that “the draft will be on top of the parliament’s priorities.”
